Welcome to The Bull's Head
Our Story
The Bull's Head, a beloved establishment in the heart of the Sussex countryside, has been a vital part of our community since 1920. Thirteen years ago, we faced the threat of closure and potential redevelopment into residential units. Determined to preserve this historic gem, we reopened The Bull's Head and began a journey to restore it to its former glory. Today it stands as a thriving pub, cherished by locals and visitors alike.
We take pride in serving traditional Sussex ales, with Harvey's being a staple since our inception. Our menu features a delightful array of dishes made from locally sourced ingredients, ensuring a fresh and flavourful dining experience. Our beautiful terrazza and expansive gardens offer a perfect setting for relaxing with family and friends, while our cosy interior provides a welcoming atmosphere year-round.
Community and Events
We are deeply committed to our community and have hosted numerous events that bring people together and support local causes. Over the years, we've organised village fetes, motorbike rallies, live music events, farmers' markets, dog shows and even English Civil War battle re-enactments. Our efforts have raised thousands of pounds for charities including Help for Heroes, Chesnutt Tree Hospice, Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance and St. Wilfrid’s Hospice in Eastbourne.
